Nairobi Mombasa Safari - 5 Days Nairobi – Amboseli – Taita Hills – Tsavo East – Diani
Nairobi-Mombasa safari is a trip that combines Kenya’s premier wildlife parks with a relaxing beach holiday on the coast. Safaris can either begin in Nairobi and end in Mombasa, or the reverse. Popular itineraries involve combining Amboseli National Park and the Tsavo parks before concluding at the coast
Day 1. Nairobi – Amboseli – Nairobi Mombasa Safari
breakfast depart to the Elephant Orphanage then proceed to Amboseli with lunch on the way. Arrive Amboseli in time for an afternoon game drive until 6pm. Diner and overnight at Kilima safari camp
Day 2. Amboseli National Park – Nairobi Mombasa Safari
Today you will have an early breakfast at 6:30am then depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. After lunch you will continue with game drive until 4;30pm time to go back to the lodge to refresh.
Amboseli offers an interesting contrast in appearance. It has a somewhat dry and dusty appearance, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash that came out of Mt Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. Mt. Kilimanjaro is located just about 25 miles away. The park was opened to visitors in April 1948. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants.
There are about 900 elephants in the park. Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, wild dog, and hippo. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, marital eagle and pygmy falcon. You will also enjoy excellent views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Dinner and Overnight at Kilima Safari Camp
Day 3. Amboseli – Taita Hills – Nairobi Mombasa Safari
Today you will depart after breakfast and drive to Taita Hills for lunch. After lunch you will drive to saltlick lodge to relax until 4pm time for an afternoon game drive until 6pm. Diner and overnight at Saltlick lodge
Day 4. Taita Hills – Tsavo East – Nairobi Mombasa Safari
Today you will have game drive at 6:30am until 8:00am. After breakfast, drive to Tsavo east National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will relax until 4pm time for afternoon game drive until 6pm.
The Park is located approximately 120 Km from Mombasa. You can view a variety of animals at the park, including lion, leopard, crocodile, water-buck, kudu, gerenuk, zebra and Aruba Hunter’s hartebeest. You will also see the large herds of red elephants- they glow red due to red dust of Tsavo. There are also about 500 species of birds, including the ostrich, and migratory birds like kestrels and buzzards. Dinner and overnight at voi wildlife lodge
Day 5. Tsavo East – Diani Beach – Nairobi Mombasa Safari
Today You will have breakfast at 7am then pack your luggage and depart for the final game drive on-route to the gate for exit. After exit formalities you will drive through the Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Mombasa and to Diani Beach. Arriving in your hotel in the afternoon.
