2-Days Tsavo East: Tsavo East National Park is a national park in Kenya with an area of 13,747 km². It was established in April 1948 and covers a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert. Together with the Tsavo West National Park, it forms an area of about 22,000 square kilometers. . The park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square kilometers. Situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert it opened in April 1948, and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province.
It is located approximately 120 Km from Mombasa. You can view a variety of animals at the park, including elephant, lion, leopard, crocodile, water-buck, kudu, gerenuk, zebra and Aruba Hunter’s hartebeest. You will also see the large herds of red elephants- they glow red due to red dust of Tsavo. There are also about 500 species of birds, including the ostrich, and migratory birds like kestrels and buzzards

You will be picked from your hotel early in the morning at 6:00am for briefing about your Tsavo east safari then drive through Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Tsavo East National park through Bachuma gate. You will enter Tsavo and start your game drive immediately until lunch time Lunch at the lodge. After lunch you will relax until 4:00pm where you will start an afternoon game drive searching for the big 5 until 6:30pm.

Today you will have an early morning game drive from 6:30am until 8:00am for breakfast. After breakfast proceed with game drive on-route to the park gate for exit formalities. On exit you will drive to the curio shop restaurant for Lunch After lunch drive back to Mombasa arriving in the evening. (Optional you can stop at the Masai village for a Masai cultural tour at extra cost)
